G1R:MP 0.1.9 / BUILD264 / Protocol 42
Windows x64 and Linux x86_64 dedicated server

Both server variants contain the SAME server executable and resources.
WITH TTS additionally contains portable CPU Python/libraries and both speech
engines/models. WITHOUT TTS is smaller and has no Python dependency when TTS
is disabled. TTS is disabled by default in BOTH packages.
Start only Start-G1RServer.cmd (Windows) or ./start-g1r-server.sh (Linux).
The normal launcher manages optional workers. Read TTS-INSTRUCTIONS.txt.

Installation / upgrade
1. Stop the server normally and BACK UP the entire old installation, databases,
resources, configurations, maps, keys and optional TTS data/voices/cache.
2. Unpack this release into a NEW directory. Do not overwrite private
configuration or restore an old executable over the new one.
3. Merge your settings into the new clean serverconf.cfg; keep security defaults.
Game/resource/voice listeners bind to 0.0.0.0. RCON and local TTS workers stay
loopback-only intentionally; do not expose these internal services publicly.
4. Configure your database and gamemode. The bundled GothicRP database password
is the CHANGE_ME placeholder, not a working credential. Existing player
data/schema, permissions and custom resources remain your responsibility.
5. Preserve server-listing.key / rcon.key and other operator-owned continuity
files when migrating your installation. No private key or password is shipped.
6. Update clients too. Protocol 40 (public 0.1.8) / 41 clients are incompatible.
Test custom gamemodes and permissions before allowing public players.

Only chat,gothic_rp,player_list auto-start. Optional map_editor, map_scene,
nameplate_test and discord_presence are included but NOT auto-started.
GothicRP's existing permission-gated admin/example commands are retained.
Private combined-QA resources and unrestricted test commands are NOT included.
Discord is configured in resources/discord_presence/config.lua; disabled and
Application ID empty by default. Players opt in separately in launcher Settings.

Selected 0.1.9 additions
- Server-controlled item-type statistics, armor parts/presets and appearance fixes.
- Expanded activity/fishing animations and remote look presentation.
- Original-world model inspection/removal and interactive editor prefabs.
- Shared placed doors, server-owned custom keys, copies/drop/pickup/access callbacks.
- Expanded weather, native crafting presentation control and Discord presence.

Important boundaries
Editor previews/local native tests are not automatic shared interactions.
Use the documented shared placed-door path; not every seat/light/ladder preview
has multiplayer deployment authority. Do not treat diagnostic client reports
as proof of inventory, account identity or completed visual effects.
Item stat support is described by the API; not every native game property is
writable. See the wiki for per-feature constraints and outstanding visual tests.
Do not replace existing gamemode event/function signatures to adopt new APIs.

Save-game safety: the multiplayer mod may overwrite/remove Gothic 1 Remake
save files on client computers. Back up game saves before playing.
