Thanks for your detailed answer.

If I run the wine explorer and navigate to the executable, I can right click it, but there sadly is no choice for "run as administrator".

As I read in other sources, this could be a bug related to my version of wine.
I try some things, maybe I manage to get the "run as admin" option.

------------------------------------------------------------------------

I got a little step further.
I updated my wine which now says
Code:
$ wine --version wine-11.16 (Staging)

When I start the wine explorer and navigate to the .exe, I can successfully right click and run as administrator.

Sadly the error still occurs in the same way.

The launcher.log contains:
Code:
[info] Master list refreshed: 6 [info] Preparing embedded protocol-26 client payload [info] Embedded payload ready; updated files: 0 [info] Master list refreshed: 6 [error] Join failed: The native game-start supervisor exited (code 25): The native session supervisor is not inside its protected startup job

Protocol-26:
the session-supervisor-stderr.log conains:
Code:
The native session supervisor is not inside its protected startup job

There is also a session-supervisor.stdout.log, which is empty.

The /anticheat/sessions/ folder contains no file.

I also tried to start the "Multiplayer.exe" via the wine explorer with the prefix, the Gothic Remake runs with, it has the same outcome.

Maybe this helps in any way :-)
