This issue is related to Windows UAC / administrator permissions.

Please make sure you are using a Windows account with full administrator privileges. The launcher may not work correctly if:

* your Windows account is a Standard/Limited account,
* parental controls / Microsoft Family Safety are restricting applications,
* administrator permissions are blocked by your organization, school, or system policy,
* or UAC elevation is being denied.

Please fully close Gothic, Steam, and the G1R:MP Launcher.

Then:

1. Right-click the **G1R:MP Launcher**.
2. Select **Run as administrator**.
3. Accept the Windows UAC prompt.
4. Do not start Gothic manually — let the G1R:MP Launcher start it.

Please also check that Windows is not blocking the launcher:

* Right-click the launcher `.exe` → **Properties**
* If you see an **Unblock** option, enable it and click Apply.

Your antivirus or Windows Security may also be blocking the launcher or anti-cheat. As a test, you can temporarily disable real-time antivirus protection or add the G1R:MP Launcher/game folder as an exclusion, then try launching it again.

If you temporarily disable antivirus protection, please enable it again immediately after testing.

If you're using a third-party antivirus, please also check its quarantine/history to make sure it hasn't blocked or removed any G1R:MP files.

If the error still occurs, please send us:

* `%LOCALAPPDATA%\G1RMultiplayer\launcher.log`
* the newest `native-*` folder from `%LOCALAPPDATA%\G1RMultiplayer\client\protocol-26\logs`
* the newest files from `%LOCALAPPDATA%\G1RMultiplayer\anticheat\sessions`

You can paste these paths directly into the File Explorer address bar.

Please also let us know:

* which Windows version you're using,
* whether your Windows account is an Administrator,
* whether Microsoft Family Safety / parental controls are enabled,
* and which antivirus you're using.
