<span style="font-size: large;" class="mycode_size"><span style="font-weight: bold;" class="mycode_b">Gothic 1 Remake: Multiplayer — First Release Announcement</span></span></div>
<hr class="mycode_hr" />
Hello everyone,<br />
<br />
First of all — <span style="font-weight: bold;" class="mycode_b">welcome to the Colony!</span><br />
<br />
It is great to finally see more and more people gathering around <span style="font-weight: bold;" class="mycode_b">Gothic 1 Remake: Multiplayer</span>. The project has been in development for quite some time now, and a lot of work has already gone into building the foundations needed to bring multiplayer into Gothic 1 Remake.<br />
<br />
Development actually started back when the <span style="font-weight: bold;" class="mycode_b">Nyras demo</span> was released. That gave us some valuable time to experiment, learn how the game works under the hood and prepare parts of the project before the full release of Gothic 1 Remake.<br />
<br />
Since then, development has continued steadily and new functionality is being added almost every day.<br />
<br />
<hr class="mycode_hr" />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;" class="mycode_align"><span style="font-size: large;" class="mycode_size"><span style="font-weight: bold;" class="mycode_b">So... when is the first version coming out?</span></span></div>
<br />
This is easily the question we get asked the most.<br />
<br />
And now we finally have an answer.<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;" class="mycode_align"><span style="font-size: x-large;" class="mycode_size"><span style="font-weight: bold;" class="mycode_b">G1R:MP 0.1a (Alpha) releases on August 28th!</span></span></div>
<br />
The first public version of <span style="font-weight: bold;" class="mycode_b">Gothic 1 Remake: Multiplayer</span> will officially become available on <span style="font-weight: bold;" class="mycode_b">Friday, August 28th, 2026</span>.<br />
<br />
Please keep in mind that <span style="font-weight: bold;" class="mycode_b">0.1a is an alpha release</span>.<br />
<br />
It is not supposed to be a finished multiplayer platform with every feature available from day one. This first release is an important foundation that we want to continue expanding together with the community.<br />
<br />
You should expect things to change, new functionality to appear over time and, naturally, some bugs or limitations along the way.<br />
<br />
That is exactly what an alpha is for.<br />
<br />
<hr class="mycode_hr" />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;" class="mycode_align"><span style="font-size: large;" class="mycode_size"><span style="font-weight: bold;" class="mycode_b">What can you do already?</span></span></div>
<br />
Even though features are still being added from day to day, the project is already at a stage where developers can slowly start experimenting and preparing their own <span style="font-weight: bold;" class="mycode_b">gamemodes</span>.<br />
<br />
Our documentation is also being updated continuously as new functionality becomes available.<br />
<br />
You can find the wiki here:<br />
<br />
<a href="https://g1r-mp.com/wiki/" target="_blank" rel="noopener" class="mycode_url">https://g1r-mp.com/wiki/</a><br />
<br />
If you are interested in scripting, creating your own server or simply seeing what will be possible with G1R:MP, this is a good time to start taking a look.<br />
<br />
<hr class="mycode_hr" />
<br />
G1R:MP is still at the beginning of its journey, and there is a lot more we want to do after the first alpha becomes available.<br />
<br />
For now, the most important milestone is clear:<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;" class="mycode_align"><span style="font-size: x-large;" class="mycode_size"><span style="font-weight: bold;" class="mycode_b">G1R:MP 0.1 alpha</span></span><br />
