What is G1R:MP?
G1R:MP is an unofficial multiplayer modification for Gothic 1 Remake. It is intended to let players connect to community servers and experience the Colony together.
Is the modification free?
Yes. The G1R:MP client and dedicated server software are fully free. There is no subscription fee for the modification.
Do I need to own Gothic 1 Remake?
Yes. A legitimate PC copy of Gothic 1 Remake is required. G1R:MP does not include or redistribute the original game.
Which platforms are supported?
The Public Alpha client is available for Windows x64 and can also run on Linux through Proton or Wine. Native dedicated server packages are available for both Windows x64 and Linux x86_64.
Are public downloads available?
Yes. G1R:MP 0.1.3 and both Protocol 35 dedicated server packages are available on the Download page.
Can I host my own server?
Yes. Download the Windows or Linux dedicated server package to host and administer your own G1R:MP world.
Is G1R:MP an official THQ Nordic project?
No. G1R:MP is an independent fan-made project and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by THQ Nordic or Alkimia Interactive.
